The team at CABC are nearing the end of pre-season training as they prepare to start the new 09-10 season. An exciting start sees shows throughout Essex every week of October and November, and the team are striving hard to be ready for as many bouts as possible. During the summer break there were new medicals for senior and junior members whose progress you will be able to follow on these reports soon. The club have also seen the return of former Captain Billy Smart whose training daily to get fit enough to compete soon. Everyone at the club is glad to have him back as he has great input in the gym and the dressing room!

On a less happy note, the club will be without the services of improving junior Jamie Cook. Having left school, Jamie has left to pursue his chosen career in the Royal Armoured Corps. He intends to continue with his boxing and I’m sure he’ll do well !

Everyone at CABC wishes him the very best of luck in the future, and look forward to his “guest appearances” when on leave !
